How To A Become A Member
Membership is about more than attending church meetings. Those who become members are called to a higher degree of responsibility, service and sacrifice. By becoming a member you are committing to be part of a spiritual family that will provide support and encouragement in your walk with Christ. Our elders and deacons will work with you by providing care and counsel as well as pray, teach and guide as necessary.
Here’s how to become a member of Heartland Fellowship:
1. Connect
- Attend Sunday services
- Participate in a small group
- Volunteer with a ministry team
2. Take Exploring The Fellowship Class
- Take the Exploring The Fellowship Class, which explains who we are, what we believe, and how we operate as a church, and provides an opportunity to get to know the church leadership.
- Check with Pastor Mike to find out when and where the Doctrine Class meets.
3. Christian
- Members must confess faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (and get baptized if they have not previously done so).
4. Covenant
- Affirm Heartland's beliefs by signing Heartland's membership covenant.
5. Conversation
- Meet with the elders of Heartland to share your faith in Jesus.
- Attend a New Member welcome Sunday.
- Participation as an active part of the family of God.
